East Noobia

East Noobia is a militarised state in the world of Tellus, the fictional setting of Naramo Nuclear Plant V2. Governed by a military dictatorship since the post-war partition, East Noobia exists in permanent tension with its western neighbour across a heavily fortified border.

In 1963 โ€” the game's setting โ€” East Noobia is at the height of its Cold War rivalry, investing heavily in nuclear power both for energy independence and as a symbol of state strength. The Naramo Nuclear Plant is its most prized strategic asset.

East Noobia maintains a standing army of approximately 200,000 personnel. Internal security is managed by the Second Noobic Intelligence Agency (2NIA). Nuclear assets are considered protected under military law โ€” any breach is treated as an act of war.

Government & Structure

East Noobia is ruled by a Supreme Military Council, a body of senior generals who seized power following the partition of Noobia. There is no democratic process โ€” the Council appoints regional governors and controls all state assets, including the Naramo facility.

The civilian population is largely employed by state industry. Naramo plant workers are considered state employees, subject to military discipline and security screening.

The Noobia Partition

Before 1947, Noobia was a single unified nation. Following the global conflict that mirrors our own World War II in Tellus's history, Noobia was partitioned into East and West along ideological lines โ€” East Noobia aligned with Tellus's eastern bloc powers (including Korbloxia), while West Noobia aligned with the western Bloxian Commonwealth.

The partition created lasting hostility. Families were divided, trade cut off, and the border militarised. By 1963, reunification is considered impossible by most analysts โ€” though both sides claim it as an eventual goal.

Nuclear Programme

East Noobia launched its civilian nuclear programme in 1955, with Korbloxian technical assistance. The Naramo plant became operational in 1958, providing power to the eastern industrial heartland.

Critics โ€” including West Noobia and the Bloxian Commonwealth โ€” have long alleged the programme has a military dimension. East Noobia denies this categorically. The presence of ANRO operatives targeting the facility suggests others are equally suspicious.

Relationship with Naramo

The plant is not just a power source โ€” it is a political symbol. The Supreme Military Council uses its existence to demonstrate technological parity with the West. Any incident at Naramo would be a catastrophic embarrassment to the regime, which is why the 2NIA and Plant Security operate with such aggressive mandates.
